Oh hey, Tumblr — your boyfriend snagged another magazine cover!

peoplemag:

In the best photo of the night: Here’sBenedict Cumberbatch, proving that white men really can jump.

Our hearts can’t take it either, Cumber Collective.

The Reichenbach Leap!

Meet Sherlock's latest Big Bad: Charles Augustus Magnussen, played by Danish actor Lars Mikkelsen. (And yes, his brother plays Hannibal on Hannibal.) Quoth Steven Moffat:

“I wanted him not to be British, and we were looking at various film stars. But Sue (Vertue), who’s my wife and and the producer, kept going on and on about this guy Lars, saying, ‘He’s really cool, he’s going to be very big, his brother’s already big, and he’s been in these cool Danish shows which have become so big over here anyway.’ He couldn’t come to an audition so he self-taped some scenes on video for us. And he was just so stunning I didn’t get to the end of the tape. I just picked up the phone and said, ‘We absolutely have to have him.’ At which point [the character] became Danish.”

I got a bit…carried away

Now that’s the type of dedication we like to see. Anyone else got photos of their Cumberhaul to share with the group?

Thought the cover was mindblowing? Well, how about a whole gallery of brand-new, exclusive Cumberbatch (and Freeman) photos?

Yup.

There is a Sherlock season 3 prequel minisode. We repeat: A Sherlock season 3 prequel minisode.

What are you waiting for?!

New Sherlock trailer just rubs in how much sooner new episodes premiere in the U.K. than in the U.S. — but at least we’ve got Watson’s kicky mustache as comfort.

This gigantic tapestry from The Desolation of Smaug is super awesome — and we’ve got a nifty magnifying tool that’ll help you spot every single detail.

Okay, so we’re late on this — but how great is Benedict Cumberbatch’s Chewbacca impression, as well as Harrison Ford’s stunned reaction?
