Weep for Hugh Jackman, who thought he could get away with not being in superhero shape for a little bit.
Think about it: A full 60% of the nominees have been crowned People’s Sexiest Man Alive (Bradley Cooper in 2011, Hugh Jackman in 2008, and Denzel Washington in 1996). And Joaquin Phoenix and Daniel Day-Lewis — when he loses the stovepipe hat — are no slouches either.
