Missing Katniss and Peeta already? Catching Fire‘s November 2013 release date seem like an eternity away? Not to worry: Later this summer you’ll be able to watch The Hunger Games at home. The movie hits Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download at 12:01 a.m. on Aug. 18.

The two-disc set will include over three hours of unreleased material, including interviews with the cast and crew and details about some of the story lines that differed from the book — like President Snow’s character (Donald Sutherland) and the role of the game maker (Wes Bentley). An eight-part documentary called The World is Watching: Making of The Hunger Games delves into the behind-the-scenes aspect of creating the film. The extras also include the full-length “Propaganda Film” shown during the Reaping.

Want more info? We’ve also got an exclusive trailer of the release.

For a long time I have been promising an encyclopedia of Harry’s world, and I have started work on this now. Some of it forms the new content in Pottermore. It is likely to be a time-consuming job, but when finished I shall donate all royalties to charity.

Rowling’s new novel begins when the sudden death of a well-liked man rocks the “seemingly idyllic” town of Pagford, England. Beneath its pleasant facade, Pagford is actually a “town at war,” roiled by class conflicts — rich people at odds with the poor — and in-fighting within families. The publisher described the tone of the book as “darkly comic.”

All together now: EEEEEEE!!!

Umm… have we mentioned that there’s going to be a sequel to Anchorman?! Because this news is kind of a big deal. It owns many leather-bound books, and its apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Surprise #1: Elizabeth Berkley of Saved by the Bell and Showgirls fame/infamy has written a book of advice for teenage girls.

Surprise #2: It’s actually good!
