Presenting 2012 in nostalgia — from Matthew Broderick’s Ferris Bueller commercial to Girl Meets World and beyond. (Seriously beyond: There’s something about Fred Durst in there.)
Today’s reminder that oh God, we’re all so old: Ferris Bueller cut school 25 years ago tomorrow.
EW’s Aubry D’Arminio was on the scene this morning when Rose and Broderick announced the Tony nominees—a list from which Daniel Radcliffe was conspicuously absent. Here’s what the two Tony winners had to say in response to the snub:
“I do feel bad, you know,” Broderick told EW backstage about Radcliffe’s omission. “It’s a bad feelingwhen that day comes. I’ve had that myself.”
“You know, every year somebody is left out,” added Rose, throwing her hands up in the air, “It’s hard, but there are so many things in that show that are nominated. And he’ll have another chance, because he’s really very good. He’s what, 21?”
Exclusive scoop: Matthew Broderick and Anika Noni Rose will announce the nominees for the 65th annual Tony Awards on May 3 at New York City’s Lincoln Center. No word yet, though, on who’ll be hosting the ceremony.
