"The first time I read [the script] I grabbed at it like Charlie Bucket snatching for a golden ticket somewhere behind the chocolate in the wrapper of a Wonka Bar."

This and more from Tom Hiddleston’s charming note to Joss Whedon here.

You know, I was born with very blonde, curly hair, and a mixture of Scottish and English genes, and my complexion is very ruddy and healthy. In making him with this raven black hair and blanching my face of all color, it changes my features. Suddenly my blue eyes look a lot bluer, which lends a severity to my face. And even my own smile has a distorted menace to it. Whatever comes through me naturally is distorted. It’s almost like a filter on a light. …In so many ways, he is the photo negative of who I am.

Loki Week — er, Thor: The Dark World's release week — continues with this awesome Hiddleston Q&A, which also features Tom reacting to being called a “sexy beast” for the first time.

There are no secret identities, the final 30 minutes feature an army of things attacking the world, Loki is the only good villain… and 14 other signs you’re watching a Marvel Studios movie.

Want to watch your boyfriend Tom Hiddleston (as Thor’s fraternal nemesis Loki) have a frank exchange of ideas with some adorable children?

Of course you do!

Tom Hiddleston + Cookie Monster = perfection.

Oh and how he may or may not be killing off an Avenger. (Wait. What?!)

Disney’s latest Tinkerbell movie, The Pirate Fairy, will feature Christina “Joan” Hendricks as seafaring, smart, swashbuckling fairy Zarina — and Tom “Loki” Hiddleston as a young rogue named James.. who may be better known by his future title: Captain Hook.

In other words: “I am James of Never Land, and I am burdened with glorious purpose. And a hook hand.”

New trailer for Thor: The Dark World: "You want Hiddleston? Well, we got your Hiddleston right here."

Bad news, Tom Hiddlestoners — we got the man to finally confirm that he won’t appear in The Avengers 2. “Here’s the thing: I don’t think there’s anything else Loki could contribute to The Avengers, narratively,” Hiddleston told EW. “Joss gave me so many wonderful things to do in that first film that we’d only be trying to repeat ourselves, and probably less well in the second one.”
